Family Based Crisis Intervention (FBCI) is a brief evidence-based intervention that provides treatment to suicidal youth and their families within the Emergency Department setting. Developed at Boston Children’s Hospital, FBCI is designed to stabilize suicidal adolescents, reduce suicide risk, and provide both patients and families with training and tools to safely manage crises at home.

This FBCI Social Worker will be responsible for:
- Providing clinical social work services to assist patients and families with personal, family, medical and environmental difficulties.
- Performing psychosocial and risk assessments, assigning diagnoses and developing and implementing interventions and treatment plans.
- Participating in planning and implementation of discharge and outpatient service plans and collaborating with health care team and community agencies to plan, implement and follow up on treatment and provision of needed services.
- Supervision of interns and staff social workers
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, and a minimum of two years of experience as a MA LICSW in Massachusetts
- Social Work supervision experience
- Flexibility and ability to work in fast-paced multidisciplinary team environment as well as excellent communication skills
- Experience with social services agencies, understanding of social determinants of health, family crisis intervention and trauma ideal.
- Bilingual/bicultural/diverse candidates are encouraged to apply. Spanish speaking a plus!
