We are seeking a Technical Superintendent to be responsible for overseeing the technical and operational aspects of our fleet, ensuring that vessels are maintained to the highest standards and comply with all regulatory requirements. This role requires a strong background in marine engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects efficiently.

*Technical Superintendent Responsibilities*

* Develop and implement maintenance schedules, coordinate repairs and upgrades, and manage dry-docking activities to minimize vessel downtime and operational disruptions.

* Provide technical guidance and support to vessel crews and other stakeholders, addressing any technical issues or concerns that arise promptly.

* Ensure vessels comply with all relevant maritime regulations, safety standards, and environmental requirements.

* Prepare and manage budgets for maintenance, repairs, and upgrades, ensuring cost-effective solutions while maintaining high standards of safety and performance.

* Liaise with external vendors and service providers to procure necessary materials and services, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely delivery and quality.

* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.

* Prepare and review technical reports, performance evaluations, and incident investigations.

* Promote a culture of safety onboard and ensure that crew members are trained and competent in handling technical systems and emergency procedures

*Technical Superintendent Position Requirements*

* Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering and/or Naval Architecture or equivalent experience

* 12 years of combined experience sailing on ocean going vessels as a Licensed Engineering Officer and working in a shoreside technical role

Analytical, problem-solving, time management, project management, and decision-making skills

* Knowledge of technical operations for the vessel types managed

* Knowledge of propulsion plant onboard vessels managed
