Kros-Wise is seeking a contingent full time Surface Ship Automated Data Program (ADP) Support Technician (Engineering Technician III) in San Diego, CA.

Duties and Responsibilities:

DFS Coordination : Review incoming departures from specification to SWRMC Code 200 Engineering, broker to appropriate tech code, and conduct a final evaluation of tech code responses prior to local technical authority adjudication. Liaison for DFS Communication : Serve as a supporting liaison for higher leadership such as; SWRMC Code 200's Chief Engineer, Deputy Chief Engineer, Local Technical Authorities, SWRMC Engineering Departments, TYCOM, and NAVSEA, ensuring clear communication and efficient handling of DFS-related issues. Daily DFS Reporting : Prepare and deliver a daily DFS report to Code 200 leadership (CHENG, DCHENG, LTAs) with summaries of pending and overdue DFSs, urgent action items, upcoming key events, and assignments to appropriate technical codes or LTAs. Database and Tool Utilization : Utilize electronic databases, including eFORMS, Microsoft Office, (TWMS) total workforce management services, (TA&R) Time, attendance & Reporting, to manage, track, and report on DFS statuses and engineering tasks, ensuring data accuracy and accessibility via metrics. MONC Processing : Process and initialize Merit of Non-conformances (MONC) entries, generating QA12 DFS forms, and maintain an updated tracker to facilitate smooth DFS processing and tracking. Bi-weekly DFS Reporting for Supervisors and NAVSEA : Create bi-weekly (SOI) Ships of Interest DFS status reports for Code 200 supervisors and NAVSEA to prioritize DFS action items in line with key events, such as Dock Trials, Engineering Plant Production milestones, and certification deadlines. Quality Assurance on Outgoing DFS Responses : Conduct thorough reviews of outgoing DFS responses from tech codes, ensuring adherence to the DFS standard operating procedure, the Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual, and proper documentation of product deficiencies and quality evidence. (CASREP) Casualty Report Burndown liaison : Be the supporting liaison in CASREP burndown meetings to facilitate deployment readiness, ensuring onboard technical assistance, processing control procedures, and coordinating SME support for technical guidance. SME Coordination for Fleet Technical Assistance : Communicate and coordinate with technical codes and SMEs to ensure timely fleet technical assistance or onboard tech assist (OBTA) for departures for near-term deploying ships or upcoming certification events to enhance readiness and operational success. Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient in using with ship maintenance databases ADA Notations:

Requires walking, reaching, sitting and concentration in the presence of occasional noise Ability to lift, carry and move objects up to 25 lbs. in weight Ability to work in office, warehouse, laboratory, pier side, and shipboard locations. Noise conditions range from very quiet to loud, hearing protection may be required at times. Travel may be required within and outside of the continental United States. Education:
