Role Overview:As a Shuttle Driver, you will be essential to our operations by transporting empty trailers to warehouse locations and delivering full trailers back to our dock. You are key in ensuring customers receive their products on time, and you will uphold our reputation by building strong relationships.Key Responsibilities Include:Conducting pre-and post-trip safety checks and inspections to follow Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.Reporting any safety issues and ensuring compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety policies.Managing all route paperwork and following a predetermined driving schedule.Performing hook/unhook procedures safely and storing equipment in designated areas.Collecting and returning damaged goods, ensuring proper documentation is completed.Maintaining a clean and organized work environment in and around the tractor and loading dock.Qualifications:At least 12 months of commercial driving experience.High school diploma or equivalent.Internal candidates must be in good standing.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.Minimum age of 21 and able to meet all state certification requirements.Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.Willingness to work a 3rd shift schedule, Sunday-Thursday nights (schedules may vary).Pass drug test, background check, and road test.Current DOT Health Card or ability to secure one.Able to lift and move product cases or freight weighing between 10-90 pounds.Company Overview:Performance Foodservice is a leading distributor, maintaining strong relationships with local customers including independent restaurants, hotels, and healthcare facilities.
