Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Data and Development Services as an integral part of SSOE's technology leadership team. The individual will lead our data, development, and analytics team. This role involves developing and executing a coherent data strategy coordinated with SSOE's objectives by building and fostering a productive partnership with business leadership., With the support of our global technology team, the Director will drive projects that leverage our data resources through the integration of SSOE's Microsoft and Autodesk technology stacks. The successful candidate will possess deep technical expertise, proven management acumen, and a propensity for teamwork.Responsibilities

The following duties are typical of the position, but are not all encompassing. Responsibilities include those required to deliver quality service on schedule and within budget in a team environment.Collaborate with SSOE business leaders, technical counterparts, and technology partners (Microsoft, Autodesk, Deltek, and UKG) to identify and promote data-led projects at SSOE.

Guide and manage the data, development, and analytics team at SSOE to architect and uphold the expansion of SSOE's data estate and ensure the delivery of impactful analytics, automation, and AI-driven solutions.Oversee the design and technical development of SSOE's data and development platforms, determine data requirements, refine ETL workflows, advance data governance and coding practices, as well as direct both in-house teams and external vendors' efforts and procedures.Create and enforce a thorough data governance strategy to maintain data accuracy, protect its security, and comply with regulations; Participate in and shape the establishment of standards, policies, processes, and safeguards related to system/application modifications throughout the company.Keep up to date with industry trends and new technologies to foster innovation in the company. Engage with leaders and inform stakeholders in support of achieving corporate, departmental, and team objectives.Coach and direct team members, promoting an environment that values ongoing education and career growth. Facilitate efficient communication and teamwork among team members and the rest of the organization to accomplish project objectives.Collaborate with management to objectively assess and review the performance of the team and suppliers in terms of delivery timeliness, cost efficiency, and quality standards.Take on the role of Project Manager for essential data-centric projects as necessary to guarantee that specifications, budgets, and schedules are met.Activate resources and manage operational tasks with SSOE's onshore and offshore personnel, in addition to strategically utilizing external consulting and technical services.

Qualifications

Qualifications:A bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Data Science, or an equivalent field is required.Strong leadership and management skills with proven experience guiding and nurturing teams in data engineering, development, or analytics, ideally within the AEC sector.Concrete examples of developing and implementing a data strategy and roadmap, encompassing the management and engagement of stakeholders.Outstanding ability to collaborate and communicate, capable of working efficiently with both business leaders and diverse team members across various departments.Extensive technical expertise in the design, engineering, oversight, policymaking, and consolidation of extensive data ecosystemsProficient in the creation and execution of data governance strategies.Preferred

Skills:Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft and Autodesk technology stacks (including Azure, Fabric, Purview, Power Platform, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Revit, and AutoCAD), in addition to ERP systems for management of financial and people data.Strong analytical and presentation capabilities, able to simplify and convey intricate ideas to clients and non-technical audiences.Working knowledge and experience working in various AI platformsProficient understanding of Lean and Agile methodologies within the context of the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) sector and software engineering practices.Salary Range: $170,000 - $180,000/year based on experience.Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, life insurance, 401K retirement savings plan (with company matching), opportunities for professional development and training, generous PTO & paid holidays.
