As a Senior Property Accountant, your responsibilities may include:
Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger closing processes
Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports
Analyzing and explaining budget/forecast variances and comparing results to prior periods on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis
Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams and business leaders to resolve issues and drive business objectives
Handling AIA billing and job costing tasks
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in property accounting or related field, preferably with a publicly traded company.
Certification:
CPA strongly preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in real estate accounting software (e.g., Yardi, MRI) and ERP systems. Advanced knowledge of Excel and financial analysis.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
