Where you'll work:This is a hybrid onsite/remote opportunity where you will report to the Epsilon's Greenville, SC location and have the flexibility to work from home based on business needs.
The Security Department Culture:Epsilon's Security Team is composed of 8 individuals of varying backgrounds and areas of responsibility. Our team takes pride in having a crucial role in enabling the customer-facing parts of the company to deliver great services to our customers, while maintaining compliance with requirements and protecting the organization's assets.
An average day:As Cybersecurity Analyst I, you will assist with monitoring Epsilon's vulnerability management suite and perform security related tasks with assistance from the Cybersecurity team. In this position you will:
Perform data analysis and interpret the results to identify vulnerabilities, threats, and risks to an organization.Research emerging and existing vulnerabilities and provide actionable solutions for risk mitigation.Assist with ensuring organizational compliance with security controls in support of corporate certification and vulnerability management programs.Assist with configuring and optimizing vulnerability management applications and tools.Verify information security controls are working as intended using monitoring tools and provide reports to management.Evaluate effectiveness of security tools and testing related to information and asset security; and track and manage remediation activities to ensure continued compliance.Work with other departments to develop systems that monitor system security and provide management reports to protect and ensure the safety of Epsilon's information assets.Support internal auditing, remediation, and compliance efforts as required.Monitor advancements in information security technologies and industries.Serve as an internal information security consultant to the organization.Provide security cross-training to other technical personnel as required.Basic Qualifications:
Two (2) years of Information Technology (IT)/security-related experience or 2+ year degree with a related security major or concentration.Familiarity with the operation of a Vulnerability Management application (such as: Nessus, Qualys, Retina, ACAS, Security Center).Broad range of IT skills to include switching, firewalls, systems, virtualization, and hardening, log analysis.Strong team player with a high level of professionalism in dealing with government agents, management, and staff.Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and delegate effectively.Ability to work independently with guidance/supervision as needed.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Strong attention to detail.Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.Experience in a compliance or regulation-driven environment, such as the US Government, Healthcare, Payment Card Industry.Experience with Change and Risk Management processes.Any of the following technical certifications are desired, but not required: Sec+, CySA+, CASP, SSCP, Net+, CCNA, CCDA, CCNA-SECURITY, MCP, MCSA, MCSE, or other industry equivalent.Other Requirements:
Attain and retain DoD Secret Security Clearance.Attain and retain 8570 Compliant Security Certifications.Occasional overtime is required.Occasional travel to the Epsilon headquarters in NC and SC, or other local, regional, and overnight national travel required for training, conferences, and onsite meetings.Physical Demands and Working Conditions:Listed below are the physical or mental requirements necessary for the job's performance.
