Product Management Senior Director serves a critical role on the Carelon Behavioral Health (BH) Product and Strategy team. Working with our BH business, this Director will be responsible for overall product build, performance, and implementation of complex strategies to enhance the BH Crisis Management Platform and olutions and expand into new markets/segments. This Director will also be responsible for bringing the voice of the market to the organization to manage and enhance existing product features to retain competitive advantage.

They will drive standardization of product capabilities across programs and regions to promote efficiency and scalability within and across products. They will be responsive to the needs of all customers and lines of business spanning public sector, employer, health plan and health systems across both Risk and ASO models. They will become a thought leader within the organization, develop and retain a deep expertise in national developments and state approaches to enhancing the crisis system. The Product Director will represent Carelon BH with internal and external stakeholders and work across departments to secure funding and resource investments to improve the BH care experience for consumers, especially those in crisis across our markets. This position can work In a hybrid way from any US Elevance Health corporate work location.

How you will make an impact:

Develops, implements and maintains competitive product platform.Responsible for the long-term vision and strategy for the Crisis Solutions product and maintenance of a product specific business plan. Accountable for execution of business plan and approved business cases to bring new features to market.

Partners with product managers to achieve superior execution of product strategy in the marketplace. Coordinate presentation, communication, and implementation of all phases of product lifecycle.

Tracks individual product performance by benefit design, market segment and sub region. Monitor product performance and the competitive environment to ensure products meet competitive and legislative needs.

Supports the development of short and long term strategic product plans in support of market, sales and profitability objectives. Develop and maintain a product roadmap to communicate the vision and strategy to internal stakeholders and the market.

Identifies system needs to support short and long term product strategy. Develops system requirements and ROI. Work with sales, accounts, and marketing to refine the value story for each product and serve as "sales engineers"

Serve as a product expert to core clients, sales and account management. Leads discussions, presentations and user groups with customer advisory boards, consultants and prospects to gather market intelligence and identify business problems to solve.

Collaborate with matrix partners across the company to deliver product solutions in a timely and effective manner. Champion initiatives across business units and serve multiple and sometimes disparate stakeholders with different priorities.

May lead effort or manage project teams in the implementation of complex regional and companywide initiatives including portfolio repositioning in a market, legislative changes, network/provider changes/ medical management program and policy initiatives, etc.

Requires a BA/BS degree and a minimum of 7 years of related experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. MBA preferred.

Highly preferred:

-Demonstrated results in technology product management, product development, market strategy, healthcare or behavioral health consulting, BH program management, and Market Research.

-SaaS and cloud-based platform product development highly preferred - where platform users include community-based staff of behavioral health providers, hospitals, and crisis contact centers.

-Experience Behavioral Health products or services: Managed Behavioral Health programs, Crisis solutions, Employee Assistance Programs, BH care directly as a (provider organization or via digital product(s)).

-Understanding of Crisis System of Care at a county or state level- including mobile crisis, crisis stabilization services and outpatient treatment and support. Understanding of the Crisis continuum and governance capabilities including quality, network development, braided funding, stakeholder engagement and the crisis line service.
