Lab Associate (Biochemistry)

Biotechnology company is hiring a Lab Associate to join the Analytical development team. You will support the characterization developmental activities currently on going in the laboratory. This is a 6-month contract to start.ResponsibilitiesMaintain an organized and efficient laboratory workspace for the team.Oversee the organization of chemical inventory, ensuring proper labelling, storage, and compliance with safety regulations.Assist in the organization and labelling of materials stored in freezers and refrigerators, ensuring easy access, proper storage and handling of samples and materials.Support daily lab operations, including sample inventory and sample shipment.Assist in the collection, labelling, and preparation of samples for analysis.Prepare reagents and solutions according to established protocols.Maintain an accurate inventory of chemicals and reagents, tracking usage and expiration dates.Coordinate the ordering and restocking of laboratory supplies.Perform routine analytical testing by following established protocols, ensuring accurate execution of tests and documentation.Collaborate within a team environment to support and further team objectives.Demonstrate flexibility and effectively complete assigned tasks with high quality and in a timely manner.QualificationsBS in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry.1-2 years of relevant industry experience.Prior experience in a laboratory setting is advantageous.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Basic knowledge of laboratory safety protocols.Proficient in using laboratory equipment and technology.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to work under supervision and independently in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.Collaborative mindset with the eagerness to learn and adapt to new concepts quickly.Pay$30.00-$35.00 per hourWhy Choose R&D Partners?As an employee, you have access to a comprehensive benefits package including:Medical insurance - PPO, HMO & HSADental & Vision insurance401k planEmployee Assistance ProgramLong-term disabilityWeekly payrollExpense reimbursementOnline timecard approvalR&D Partners is a global functional service provider and strategic staffing resource specializing in scientific, clinical research & engineering.
