College Board - State & District Partnerships

Location: This is a fully remote role. Candidates who live near CB offices have the option of being fully remote or hybrid (Tuesday and Wednesday in office).

About the Team

State and District Partnerships (SDP) is laser focused on growing and maintaining College Board\'s core businesses as market dynamics change. SDP\'s 100+ colleagues serve as the primary liaisons to states and districts which use College Board programs and services. Within SDP, the Business Planning & Operations (BP&O) team is focused on the development and implementation of efficient overall business processes within the division and with cross-organizational teams to achieve clean delivery of our programs.We use data, observation, experience, and creativity to guide decision making and process development.We serve as a resource for the planning and operations of the division; encompassing the units focused on state and district partnerships, International, and Unified State Strategies. Our team works to provide opportunities to students through promoting the use of College Board programs and services including the SAT Suite of Assessments, Advanced Placement, and BigFuture.

About the Opportunity

As Associate Director, K-12 Lead Development you will play a key role in expanding College Board\'s presence in small and rural school districts across the U.S. This individual will focus on generating new district opportunities for the SAT Suite of Assessments (PSAT, SAT) and AP Access Programs by responding to incoming leads, as well as proactively reaching out to districts that currently do not offer these programs or offer them on a limited scale. The Associate Director, K-12 Lead Development, will work closely with our colleagues in Engagement and Reach (EaR), engage in lead follow-up, prospecting, relationship-building, and driving early-stage discussions with decision-makers to increase access to these key College Board programs for underserved student populations.

Key Responsibilities:

Prospecting & Lead Follow-Up (50%)

In alignment/partnership with the EaR team, respond to incoming leads generated from the College Board web site and targeted campaigns

{=html} - Provide necessary information and direction around how to implement SAT School Day, PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT 8/9, and AP programs internally and externally

{=html} - Develop and maintain a pipeline of new district opportunities through proactive outreach, including cold calling, emailing, and networking at relevant events

{=html} - Utilize data-driven insights to target districts where College Board\'s programs could have the greatest impact, focusing on increasing equity and access for students in rural and other underserved areas

{=html} - Leverage existing partnerships with state educational agencies, nonprofit organizations, and other key stakeholders that support rural districts by working collaboratively with regional SDP staff

Reporting & CRM Management (20%)

Track all prospecting and sales activities in College Board\'s CRM system (Salesforce), ensuring accurate records of all interactions, pipeline progression, and next steps

{=html} - Provide regular updates on progress toward goals, challenges, and key learnings to the sales leadership team

Relationship Building (15%)

Initiate and foster relationships with school district leaders, administrators, and educators to build trust and demonstrate the val e of College Board products and services

{=html} - Collaborate with district stakeholders to understand their specific challenges and goals and how the SAT Suite and AP Access Programs can address those needs

{=html} - Provide insights into available state and federal grants, scholarships, and financial incentives that can support districts in adopting College Board programs

Sales Outreach & Engagement (15%)

Conduct initial discovery meetings with district decision-makers to introduce College Board programs and assess potential fit.

{=html} - Present compelling cases for the benefits of adopting the SAT Suite and expanding AP offerings, particularly around college readiness, student performance data, and scholarship opportunities.
