Special Education Teacher (SPED)
that is certified in the state of practice to work in a school setting. This is a contract, full time position.
Duties and Responsibilities Include:Complete required facility orientation.Ensure health, safety & welfare of individuals.Conduct formal and informal assessments of educational programs and behavior interventions.Supervise Teacher’s Assistants/Aides and participate in the implementation of educational programs and behavior interventions.Implement and adhere to IEP/Student Program.Supervise and implement completion of program/student documentation.Supervise and delegate responsibilities to Teacher’s Assistants/Aides.Complete and maintain training requirements.Complete required program documentation/certifications (e.g. Employee Medicals, PPD, CPR, etc. as required).Interact/communicate with parents, college interns, professionals, and other interested visitors.Punctuality and regular attendance is expected.Maintain participant/family confidentiality.Commitment to company values and adherence to policies.Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and/or senior management.
Requirements include:NYS Certified Special Education Teacher (Internship Certificate a minimum)Experience with ASD and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies preferred
