Job Description:
Medical Oncologist at the University of Florida.The Department of Medicine at the University of Florida is seeking applications for a full-time medical oncologist for a clinician-researcher track position in the Division of Hematology/Oncology at the Assistant Professor rank or higher. This role is open to ABIM board-certified or board-eligible medical oncologists with expertise in solid tumors. The position offers flexibility, allowing the candidate to shape their role within the division based on their specific expertise and interests.
The successful applicant will primarily focus on clinical care but will also be expected to contribute significantly to clinical and translational research, participate in team-based research initiatives, and engage in teaching students, residents, and fellows in both clinical and inpatient settings. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate in a variety of activities, including subspecialty and multidisciplinary clinics at the UF Health main campus, cancer case and research conferences, and clinical trials. A commitment to high-quality patient care, research, and academic excellence is essential.
Faculty in the UF Division of Hematology and Oncology are members of the University of Florida Health Cancer Center (UFHCC), the only NCI-designated Cancer Center in North Central Florida. The center is also the only NCI-Designated Cancer Center based at a public university in Florida. The UFHCC blends comprehensive patient care and innovative research in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, with members from 11 of the 16 colleges at the University of Florida (UF).
