(GISI), the parent company of The LiRo Group and Hill International, Inc. consolidated a portion of the highly experienced staff of both LiRo and Hill in the Northeast to create a larger, more efficient, and cost-effective team to serve clients. LiRo-Hill is a 1100-person firm with offices in NYC, Long Island, Buffalo, Rochester, Boston and Metro Park, NJ.The client for this project is the NYS Office of General Services (OGS).Please provide references upon resume submission.

Responsibilities

Managing environmental project work across D&C to meet the anticipated influx of projects related to planning, studies, and integration of resilient and sustainable solutionsProvide leadership and support to all OGS D&C client agencies with planning, contracting, implementing, and executing programs and projects relating to resiliency and sustainability.Maintain strong relationships with clients, and all divisions within OGS as well as building relationships across diverse stakeholders.Oversee project or consultant teams as they conduct research, expert interviews, data gathering and analysis.Communicate effectively, identify, and mitigate risks and assure that decisions are made timely to keep projects on schedule and within budget.Supervise multi-discipline project teams and projects/programs as they relate to environmental initiatives, resiliency, and sustainability.OGS D&C liaison to the Division of Resiliency and Sustainability and assist with defining goals, metrics of success and creative strategies and innovative ideas to drive sustainability throughout OGS proper as well as in alignment with other State agencies and the overall State vision.Assists in the development and implementation of specific resiliency and sustainability initiatives.Provides suggestions and recommendations to improve process efficiencies that will positively impact sustainability related initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or higher level degree in in engineering, coastal resources, management, ecology, ecosystem management, environmental health, environmental science, environmental studies, forestry, geography, geology, hydrology, marine science, natural resources, natural science, planning, public administration, public policy AND one year of professional experience in project management or the establishment of environmental programs; preparing, implementing or reviewing plans, projects, regulations or environmental impact statements; preparing sustainability or resiliency materials involving environmental matters; or preparing environmental analysis of resilient or sustainable issues.A Master's degree or higher in a qualifying field may substitute for one year of the required experience.
