**Job Title:** Registered Nurse

**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Day 4x10-Hour (08:30 - 19:00)
**Guaranteed Hours:** Facility can call off 1 shift per 2-week pay period
**Experience:** 2 years in an acute hospital, ICU background highly preferred
**License:** Compact License or single-state license acceptable
**Certifications:** ACLS, BLS
**Must-Have:**- Sedation experience required, conscious sedation certification highly preferred- Proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias- EPIC experience is a plus
**Job Description:**
- Participate in endoscopy procedures and assist with tasks such as biopsies, irrigations, dilation, decompression tubes, and banding of varices.- Operate and manage electrosurgical units and other procedural equipment.- Provide sedation and monitor patients during endoscopy procedures.- Ensure proper cleaning and care of scopes and instruments, including colonoscopes, EGD scopes, and enteroscopes.- Secure bite block and suction oral secretions during procedures.- Utilize appropriate PPE and maintain safety standards.- Float within endoscopy procedural and pre/post area as required.- Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:1 in Intake and Sedation areas, 1:2 in the Post Procedure area.- CRNAs available for patients requiring MAC sedation.- Provide high-level disinfection (HLD) of equipment.- Work within a magnet, teaching, and Level I trauma facility, with preference for experience in high-volume, high-acuity environments.- Complete required modules, including EPIC, prior to starting.- Participate in 1-2 weekend/holiday on-call shifts per month.- Adhere to compliance policies and facility guidelines.
