Transportation Manager

Position Summary: Under the supervision of the Center Director, is responsible for the PACE Transportation program, including transportation of participants, meals, durable medical equipment, and medications; transportation scheduling; oversight of training and supervision of all drivers and dispatchers and any other transportation as deemed necessary. Responsible for working with contracted services for transportation to ensure all training and certifications are in order; vehicle maintenance and safety is documented; and all transport requirements are met. Responsible for meeting departmental budget goals.

Basic Qualifications:

Education/Training/Certifications:

Valid Driver's License

CDL License with passenger endorsement

Experience:

2 years of administrative/supervisory experience, in a transportation setting.

5 years of experience in the transportation industry preferred.

Minimum of 1 year working with the frail and elderly

Skill(s):• Knowledge of safety requirements pertaining to the transportation industry.• Requires individual who can coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.• Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with vendors, contracted services, participants, co- workers, medical staff, and the public.• Proficient in identifying and recommending problem resolution.• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Ability to manage a transportation scheduling computer software.• Familiar with operation of accessible vehicles.• Experience with maintenance and oversight of a fleet of vehicles.
