The Program Manager, Planning Process Excellence is part of MCP and focused on all aspects of planning for Network Hardware that is deployed at Microsoft’s data centers. The team works with partners within MCP, CSCP, Finance and Azure Engineering to plan & execute the new technologies for scale and agility.

We are looking for a Director - Demand Planning to support the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization
Responsibilities
In this role, you will be managing rolling 24-month cloud consumption forecast / plan for internal and external customers via a combination of statistical modeling and consensus demand planning. One of the main charters, but not limited to will be driving transformation and automation for cloud demand planning. The primary focus will be:
Work with the Cloud Planning GM to identify opportunities to streamline and enhance cloud demand and capacity planning.
Manage demand for high priority events across all cloud resource types. Act as a central function to monitor and manage these high visibility events and programs.
Identify macro / micro industry trends affecting demand.
Own and report forecast accuracy, forecast bias and value-add metrics for your customers / business segments.
Partner with Data Science and Data Engineering teams to continuously improve forecasting models, and with center-of-excellence to improve processes Define appropriate measures and metrics for server demand planning processes Partner with MCP Center Of Excellence (COE) team in India to enable/automate the metrics for server planning.
Partner with analytics team for automating reports and building management dashboards.
Perform ad-hoc analysis for critical business needs.
Bring in thought leadership to help management in building vision, and aligning with stakeholders.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, Information Technology (IT), Business, Operations, Finance, Accounting, Data Science, or related field AND 8+ years supply chain, inventory management or sales operations experience, preferably in planning (demand/supply/forecasting), cloud industry experience, infrastructure, data science, and/or channel management experience o OR equivalent experience.
Other Qualifications
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading cross-functional processes with key stakeholders ex: Product groups, Finance, Sales & Marketing, Operations, Planning and Sourcing functions.
Ability to lead in ambiguous situations, and deal effectively with conflicting priorities and changes.
Analytical skills and knowledge in root cause analysis/problem solving and the ability to implement and drive corrective actions and efficiencies in a matrix environment.
Influencing skills and ability to build relationships across multiple layers in the organization.
Proficient in business tools (e.g. word, power point slides), analytical tools (Excel modeling, SQL, etc.), and able to generate quality outputs.
Minimum of 10 years in demand forecasting or supply chain planning in Cloud computing forecasting or IT hardware supply chain.
MS/MBA preferred.
Experience in leading consensus demand planning process, and a track record of executing demand planning processes.
Experience working with Product / Engineering Groups Cloud / high tech supply chain experience is a plus.
Demand Planning IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $299,400 per year.
