About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Credit Risk Manager to drive health and wellness of the Card Portfolio through development and deployment of the Balance Build and Customer Engagement Strategy.
The Credit Risk Manager will lead a team of dedicated team members that develop and maintain the Balance Build and Customer Engagement strategies (such as Balance Transfer, Product Conversions, etc), while diligently monitoring strategy performance. They will respond to requests for information (RFI) from key stakeholders (Card CRO Business Reviews and ad hoc executive inquiries).
The Credit Risk Manager will report directly to Head of Consumer Card Engagement Risk Strategy and High-Risk Account Management.
In this role, you will:
Manage and develop teams of individual contributors within the Balance Build and Customer Engagement Strategy Team in roles with moderate complexity and risk
Engage and influence stakeholders, internal partners and peers associated with initiatives that cross multiple lines of business in scope with significant impact and risk
Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development to drive the company credit culture, desire, and business performance
Determine appropriate strategy and actions of Credit Risk team to meet moderate to high-risk deliverables
Interpret and develop policies and procedures for level of risk taken in credit activities with moderate complexity within scope of responsibility
Build relationships with corporate, business heads, Legal, Audit, regulators, and industry partners on risk related topics
Lead team to achieve objectives
Interact with internal and external customers
Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Credit Oversight
Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
2+ years of leadership experience
Desired Qualifications:
4+ year of statistical analysis
6+ years of experience with computer programs including, but not limited to, Microsoft Excel, VBA (Visual Basic for Applications), Cognos or Tableau, SharePoint, google doc
Proven leadership managing diverse team of Credit Risk professionals
Strong strategy, data/analytics and reporting experiences, SAS/SQL and/or Python/R background, and extensive experience in combining/analyzing data from multiple large data sources to develop and implement credit control strategies. Familiarity with credit card industry is a plus.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills; Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Knowledge and understanding of databases and data mining techniques
Proactive with results driven attitude, and strong problem-solving skills
Well organized, attention to detail
Proven track record with hands on experience in business analytics and strategy recommendation

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$120,400.00 - $262,600.00
