We have an exciting opportunity for a Permanent Senior Property Accountant in the Mortgage industry. In this role, you will have the chance to put your skills to the test in a dynamic, fast-paced environment that offers plenty of room for growth. If you have a strong background in property accounting, a solid understanding of the Yardi software, and a desire to make a significant impact in the mortgage industry, we want to hear from you.Responsibilities:As a Senior Property Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our organization. Your responsibilities will include:1. Overseeing all aspects of property accounting, including the preparation and review of financial statements, budgeting, and forecasting.2. Managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.3. Utilizing Yardi software for property management accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.4. Collaborating with property managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.5. Conducting variance analysis and providing explanations for discrepancies.6. Assisting with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.7. Identifying opportunities for process improvements and implementing changes to increase efficiency and accuracy.8. Mentoring and providing guidance to junior staff members.Qualifications:The ideal candidate for the Senior Property Accountant role will possess the following qualifications:1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.2. A minimum of five years of experience in property accounting, preferably in the mortgage industry.3. Proficiency in Yardi property management software.4. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team.7. High level of accuracy and attention to detail.8. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.9. Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to mentor junior staff.10.
