Cardiology Physician Assistant

OverviewMercy Medical Group (MMG), a multi-specialty group with more than 500 healthcare providers in the Sacramento region, is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our outpatient Cardiology team. The successful candidate will work alongside our experienced physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care to our patients. Our clinicians service patients throughout Sacramento at Dignity Health Medical Foundation's Mercy Medical Group locations.The successful candidate will be responsible for providing outpatient clinical care to established patients, monitoring and supervising stress tests and Holter monitors, diagnostics ordering and interpretation, patient education and follow-up, and responding to patient questions on a variety of medical issues. MMG clinicians provide services to patients at Dignity Health Medical Foundation locations throughout Sacramento. Dignity Health is a part of CommonSpirit Health , one of the nation's largest health systems dedicated to advancing health for all people.ResponsibilitiesConduct comprehensive patient assessments, including health history, physical examination, and diagnostic tests as neededDevelop and implement treatment plans for patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditionsOrder and interpret diagnostic tests and laboratory studiesPrescribe medications and other treatments as necessaryProvide patient education and counseling on disease management, lifestyle modification, and medication adherenceCollaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomesParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education programs to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledgeQualifications
