We’re looking for a Business Developer. Can you picture yourself here?Here’s what you’d do:The Business Developer works to improve BrightView’s market position and achieve profitable financial growth. This role helps to achieve long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates, and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions. The business developer manages the sales pipeline from prospecting to closing and is responsible for full cycle landscape and, depending on region, snow sales. The business developer collaborates and works with partners including operations, finance, marketing, and more to manage responses to bids in an effort to meet sales targets.You’d be responsible for:Work with prospective customers to discover their “points of pain” and develop solutionsAccurately forecast sales deliverables and KPI’sAchieve sales goals and be able to work independentlyPerform sales prospecting using consultative sales techniques to build long standing business relationships; marketing; pricing.Prepares and conducts heavy phone prospecting, sales presentations, virtual demonstrations, and handle contract negotiations with minimum supervision.Identify customer needs and utilize solution-based selling techniques to fully demonstrate value of BrightView servicesCultivate and maintain relationships with prospects and existing clientsBuilds and maintains trust-based professional relationships with key decision makersPlan daily and hit specific activity benchmarks and close businessLogs activity consistently and reliably in CRM (Salesforce)Works in a fast-paced environment while operating with a high sense of urgencyCommunicates proactively with all decision makers and influencers.You might be a good fit if you have:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experienceExtensive face-to-face (B2B) selling experience at the mid to senior levels, 3-5 years of experienceExperience managing multiple projects and able to multi-task in a large territoryProficient with computer programs including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointExperience with a CRM or SFA toolProven track record of sales goal attainment and pipeline managementHighly competitive, positive, and results drivenExcellent presentation skillsExcellent oral and written communication skills to build client-centric and solution/value-based proposalsWorking experience with social mediaLocal knowledge and contacts in one or more market segments preferredAbility to be self-motivated and self-directedExperience in the service industry with commercial contract sales desirableHere’s what to know about working here:Here at BrightView, we’re as passionate about caring for our clients as we are about caring for each other.
