Capital District Cardiothoracic Surgery OpeningHospital system in upstate New York is seeking to recruit a fellowship trained, board certified Cardiothoracic Surgeon to join their outstanding and well-established Cardiac Surgery programs.This opportunity is an employed position with 25+ employed Cardiologists. There is a robust referral network, from both the employed and non-employed regional cardiology practices with a large geographic catchment area that includes Southern Vermont and Western Massachusetts. The clinic and surgical office are conveniently located on both hospital campuses. There is strong Surgical PA support with 24/7 support at large modern hospital facilities.They are leaders in the New York Capital Region for Cardiac Care. Their comprehensive cardiology services include Non-Invasive, EP, Interventional, Structural, and Thoracic physicians.The team enjoys excellent outcomes based on STS criteria. Services range from minimally invasive surgery to more complex procedures requiring combinations of traditional and advanced techniques. Covering all aspects of cardiac care, except for transplantation, our surgical results have consistently surpassed both the state and national standards.Opportunity Details:Hospital Employed Contracted Position;Program currently performs 700-800 heart cases annually at St. Peter s Hospital, and 200-300 heart cases annually at Ellis;Clinic and Surgical Office conveniently located on hospital campus;Call Rotation 1:525+ employed Cardiologists;Strong in-house CT Surgical PA support;Modern Hospital Facilities with three Cardiothoracic OR Rooms at St. Peter s and two Cardiothoracic OR Rooms at Ellis.Robust Referral Network from both the employed and non-employed regional cardiology practices;Large geographic catchment area.Recruitment Package:Compensation range: $750,000 $900,000Starting BonusComprehensive benefits package including health, life, and dental insurance;403(b) with employer match;457(d) Retirement plan;Relocation Allowance;Public Service Loan Forgiveness;Paid Malpractice
