Job Summary:
As a REVIT/BIM Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of Building Information Modeling (BIM) processes and technologies within the organization. You will play a key role in managing the creation, coordination, and maintenance of digital models throughout the project lifecycle. Your expertise in REVIT software and BIM methodologies will ensure efficient collaboration among project stakeholders and facilitate the successful delivery of architectural, engineering, and construction projects.
Responsibilities:
BIM Implementation:
Lead the implementation of BIM processes and standards across projects, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and company objectives.
Model Creation:
Develop and maintain detailed 3D models using REVIT software, incorporating architectural, structural, and MEPF (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection) elements.
Coordination:
Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other project stakeholders to coordinate models, resolve clashes, and optimize design solutions.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct regular quality checks on BIM models to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements and standards.
Documentation:
Generate construction documents, schedules, and other deliverables derived from BIM models, ensuring consistency and accuracy throughout.
Training and Support:
Provide training and support to project teams on REVIT software, BIM workflows, and related tools to enhance proficiency and productivity.
Innovation:
Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in BIM and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes, methodologies, and tools.
Client Interaction:
Collaborate with clients to understand their BIM requirements, address concerns, and provide innovative solutions to meet project objectives.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and other team members to facilitate effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field.
Proven experience as a BIM Specialist or similar role in the AEC (architecture, engineering, construction) industry.
Proficiency in REVIT software and other BIM authoring tools.
Strong understanding of BIM methodologies, standards (e.g., ISO 19650), and workflows.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Experience with clash detection, model coordination, and clash resolution techniques.
Familiarity with relevant software applications such as Navisworks, AutoCAD, and Bluebeam Revu is a plus.
Certifications such as Autodesk Certified Professional (ACP) in REVIT are advantageous.
