Trauma Nurse Specialist - Trauma Center - Full Time

Whether you have many years of experience or are in the early stages of your career, you can find a rewarding position at Grady!SUMMARYThe Trauma Nurse Support Specialist collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to provide improved comprehensive services to patients and will be responsible for monitoring and reporting on outcome measures. Serves as a clinical resource with expertise in trauma care management and helps to educate patients and families regarding follow-up care and course of treatment. Identifies and eliminates barriers to timely diagnosis and treatments. Provides educational support to the Emergency Care Center and Marcus Trauma Center nurses, paramedics, and ancillary staff. Collaborates with advanced department-specific educators to identify and mitigate education deficits related to the care of the injured patient. Serves as a liaison between the Trauma Program and the Marcus Trauma Center to ensure that core documentation metrics are being met in accordance with guidelines from the American College of Surgeons. Participates in regional trauma education and outreach efforts. Develops educational programs with other members of the Trauma Service for hospital staff.
