By emphasizing cutting-edge and transformational research along with a commitment to the success of all students, UIC embodies the dynamic, vibrant and engaged urban university.Description:Position SummaryA Research Assistant Professor in the Mo lab will consist of independently conducting research experiments and submitting grant proposals.Duties & ResponsibilitiesResearch involving specific microscopy techniquesDevelop new projects and apply for independent grants.Advising graduate and undergraduate students.Evaluate and analyze dataPreparing and submitting grant applications.Collaborate with Project Investigators to coordinate data collection measures and protocolsUpdate PI on laboratory ongoing activities and issues.Preparing journal manuscripts for publication.Imaging system development and maintenance.Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.Minimum Qualifications3-5 years’ experience in a research settingMinimum PhD degree in health, biological or chemical sciences or related fieldPreferred QualificationsThe University of Illinois System is an equal opportunity employer, including but not limited to disability and/or veteran status, and complies with all applicable state and federal employment mandates.
