Colwen Hotels is in search of an experienced Complex Director of Sales to oversee The AC Hotel Boston North and the TownePlace Marriott/Fairfield Inn Dual Brand. The Complex Director of Sales is responsible for driving overall sales and marketing results across all segments, directing the property sales team and ensuring goals are achieved. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business, and collaborating on strategies to increase occupancy and revenue. This position will be responsible for selling rooms only. To be successful in this role you will need a thorough understanding of market and industry trends, be a strategic thinker, and possess strong leadership and negotiation skills. The ideal candidate for this role is a highly motivated, energetic, seasoned hospitality sales professional with local market experience.Colwen Hotels is a hospitality group built on hard work, character, and authenticity. With our continued growth and project pipeline, we are able to provide our associates with exciting career advancement growth and opportunities.General Responsibilities:Direct, lead, coordinate and supervise sales team in all sales related activitiesGrow existing accounts and generate new business to exceed budget and maximize revenue and profitsMaintain existing account relationshipsFormulate sales and marketing strategies for assigned hotelCollaborate with sales team, revenue management, and Hotel General Managers to maximize profitability of properties while maintain guest satisfactionWork closely with sales teams and Hotel General Managers at assigned hotels to assist in capturing group business in all segments including corporate transient businessTrain and support all sales associates and ensure performance in accordance with established hotel brand/Colwen sales standardsSet sales strategies to achieve overall property goals for both rate and occupancyCreate and execute annual marketing plan addressing sales strategy and budget goalsUnderstand hotel operations including room types, meeting capacities, service and features and benefits of assigned propertiesSolid knowledge of market conditions and competitors, economic trends and supply and demandProactive solicitation of new business to achieve region revenue goalsMeet monthly revenue goals for both room and banquet salesAchieve your personal sales call h goals and advise team on meeting assigned goalsTarget accounts, markets or segments with proactive solicitation and account saturationParticipate in local networking organizations, community, and industry events while representing Colwen Hotels in a professional mannerRequirements:1-2 years Hotel Director of Sales experience4+ years proven sales recordExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and customer service skillsAbility to communicate across all levels of the organizationProven ability to drive the sales processStrong leader of peopleStrategic thinkerProficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related softwareFamiliar with common computer software programs, ability to learn new software programsWe’ve got you covered: Benefits & PerksMedical Insurance with Company-Funded HRAVision InsuranceFlexible Spending AccountsWide-Array of Supplemental Insurance OfferingsPaid Time Off ProgramsEmployee Assistance Program401K Plan – Traditional & Roth Options with Employer MatchHotel Discount Travel Program for Associates & FamilyExclusive Associate Discounts – Travel, Entertainment, & RetailTraining and Development ProgramsColwen Hotels is an equal opportunity employer.
