Sales and Marketing Technology Manager
at Caterpillar, you will lead a team of sales, marketing and application field personnel who own the growth of revenue, adoption and use of our technology solutions focused on Western US and Canada. This is a field-based management role, designed for a leader willing to be a “pioneer” in a major growth area for Caterpillar. This assignment is key to drive the transformation at our customers, dealers and Cat, therefore complex and challenging, while requiring excellent teamwork, collaboration and partnership with our extended value chain.What You Will Do:Drive the implementation and execution of Technology Growth Plans with the dealers in the regions, covering the CI technology portfolio (Cat Grade, VisionLink, VisionLink Productivity, Cat Command, Detect). You will ensure these are prioritized to address the biggest opportunities to achieve our overall business objectives around Adoption, Revenue and usage growth.Support dealer technology organization creation or expansion in line with the Construction Industries Technology Playbook.Ensure we are reaching our field team, dealers, customers with a simple and impactful value selling message, talking in customer terms and how technology helps address customer problems. You will leverage your team of technology Application experts to achieve this.Achieve our annual go-to-market goals: Overall business execution, KPI management, creation and management of marketing initiatives and program across the technology portfolio.Be the key technology sales/marketing leadership advocate for the region with our business partners.Provide Voice of Customer and Voice of Dealer to support future new product introductions (NPI) by remaining current on customer/dealer market and competitive offering opportunities.Lead strategic recommendations and changes on the future go-to-market, sales execution model of technology products and product development focus.What You Have:Demonstrated ability to prioritize customer needs and satisfaction, utilizing
effective communication
and
relationship management
techniques to develop tailored solutions and maintain strong
customer focus .Leadership skills with strong commercial acumen and industry knowledge.Demonstrated ability in
strategic thinking
and of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning; ability to apply organizational acumen and competitiveness to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.Knowledge of effective
influencing
