The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic job shop environment, demonstrating proficiency in multi-axis machining, organizing and prioritizing machine shop jobs, and possessing the ability to work independentlyDuties and Responsibilities:Set up, program, and operate HAAS CNC Mills and Lathes with multi-axis capabilities using next-generation controlUtilize MasterCAM and FeatureCAM software for efficient programming and toolpath generationDesign and draw parts in CAD Software (Solidworks)Reverse-engineering existing parts and creating full set of Engineering drawingsCollaborate with engineering and production teams to plan and prioritize machine shop jobs based on timelines and requirementsPerform quality checks to ensure products meet specificationsMaintain a safe and clean working environment, adhering to company safety protocols and proceduresTroubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they ariseConduct daily checks and perform preventive maintenance of CNC machines and shop equipmentFlexibility in schedule to support machining parts for plant equipment downtime emergencies outside of standard working hoursPerform safe work practices and participate in trainings and safety programs in a positive and proactive way by following safety rules, procedures, regulations, standards and laws.Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, and injuries to supervisor or Human ResourcesWork safely 100% of the time."Qualifikationen UALIFICATIONS: Education, Experience and Necessary Skills all must be met in order to qualify for positionEducation: Two (2) year technical degree from a certified Trade School or Technical College in Machine Tool Technology or related degree, plus four (4) years of experience as a machinist in an manufacturing environment. ORIf No degree: Must have a total of eight (8) years of machinist experience in a manufacturing environmentNecessary Skills, Certifications, etc.: All candidates must successfully pass a standard machining hands-on assessment which involves topics related to this position.Must be present and able to perform the essential functions of the jobRequired Skills: Proficiency in programming and operating HAAS CNC Mills and Lathes with multi-axis capabilities running HAAS next-generation controlStrong knowledge in MasterCAM and FeatureCAM softwareKnowledge of G-code programmingExpertise in Solidworks CAD softwareExperience reverse-engineering existing parts and components to create 3D and 2D engineering drawing sets and documentationPrior experience with preventive maintenance of CNC machines is preferredAbility to work independently and organize and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced job shop environmentStrong problem-solving skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and teamwork skills.Preferred Skills:Familiarity with a variety of Engineering materials, including metals and plasticsExperience with CAD/CAM software for design and machining applicationsKnowledge of GD&T and blueprint reading in ISO and US formatsUse of measurement tools such as Rules, Calipers, Micrometers, height gages, etc
