You will develop software and automated solutions to manage the lifecycle of infrastructure services as we solve sophisticated business problems, deploying innovative products, services, and experiences to delight our customers! In addition to applied experience, you will bring excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills, along with agile ways of working, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude, and a commitment to continuous learning.Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical DayBuild automation workflows ensuring that the code follows latest coding practices and industry standards, using modern design patterns and architectural principles, actively coding against the roadmap.Develop high quality, well-documented, and efficient code adhering to all applicable Prudential standards.Create automation processes for migrating both applications and infrastructure.Write unit, integration tests, and functional automation, researching problems discovered by quality assurance or product support, developing solutions to address the problems.Build and design RESTful APIs to support automation processes.Use programming languages including but not limited to NodeJS, Java, or Python, JavaScript to develop advanced application and infrastructure automations.The Skills & Expertise You BringBachelor of Computer Science or Engineering or experience in related fieldsLeverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts, and perspectives to the benefit of the organizationExperience with agile development methodologies and Test-Driven Development (TDD)Knowledge of business concepts, tools, and processes that are needed for making sound decisions in the context of the company's businessAbility to learn new skills and knowledge on an ongoing basis through self-initiative and tackling challengesExcellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skillsApplied experience with several of the following:Programming Languages: Python, Node.js, JavaScript, PowerShellAPIMobile app development is a plusAutomated testing, creation and problem solving, error handling, alerting, and corrective actionsDisaster Recovery and High AvailabilitySoftware Development Life Cycle (SDLC): Monitoring and logging techniquesPreferred QualificationsFinancial/Insurance industry knowledge is a plus, not a mustYou’ll Love Working Here Because You CanJoin a team and culture where your voice matters; where every day, your work transforms our experiences to make lives better.
