About the RoleThe Sr. Manager - Channel Planner is responsible for planning omnichannel media strategies for the brand. Reporting to the Senior Director, Channel Planning within Gap Inc.’s centralized Marketing Shared Services organization, you and your team will embed within the brand team and serve as a key connection point between the brand team and the centralized Marketing Shared Services organization. You will serve as a key contributor to all channel planning activity for the brand and possess a strong understanding of holistic channel planning strategies and best practices to help inform and drive best-in-class media for the brand. This role is part of a new approach for Gap Inc. and you will play a key role in our effort to move Gap Inc. toward a more full-funnel approach that creates long-term brand value while achieving business objectives.
What You'll Do
Lead omnichannel media planning for Gap brand, translating brand teams’ priorities into actionable media approaches and leveraging SME expertise on media effectiveness and evolving trends
Consult with the Gap brand team during brand planning, driving strategy and brief development
Cultivate strong knowledge and understanding of Gap brand goals, business, and consumers to ensure that media strategies are aligned with brand strategy
Engage in high-level strategic communications and planning, developing media mix and outlet recommendations against stated brand goals, working within budget guidelines and/or making optimal spend recommendations
Own weekly and monthly budget and forecasting processes in collaboration with finance partners and agency to align on goals, make recommendations and approve optimizations to drive improved financial performance.
Regularly surface channel-specific insights, learnings, and best practices to the Gap team to drive increased efficiency and effectiveness in strategy and planning
Serve as the main point of contact with Channel Planners across Gap Inc.’s four brands, collaborating closely with your counterparts to share learnings and insights
Work closely with Media Channel Activation team, collecting and incorporating recommendations on specific channel vehicles and communicating opportunities for new product offerings or value adds from various media channels
Collaborate with Measurement and Interpretation team to inform development of goals for media plans and approaches to evaluate media effectiveness
Serve as the main point of contact with Creative and Brand teams in regards to creative assets, ensuring creative is aligned with brand positioning and optimized for various media channels at all times
Who You Are
Strongly established marketing experience with demonstrated experience planning and executing full-funnel omnichannel media
Experience managing teams, with a proven track record of collaborative leadership, team building, and managing individual contributors
Extensive experience translating brand strategy into executable and scalable full-funnel media approaches
Deep knowledge of media channels, full-funnel media strategy & activation, and current industry trends
Experience in a highly complex, matrixed organization with a proven track record of working cross-functionally to drive change
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage up, down, and across
Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to work through ambiguity, continuously improve ways of working, and infuse strategic thinking into your work

Salary Range: $140,700 - $186,400 USDEmployee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location. We will meet minimum wage or minimum of the pay range (whichever is higher) based on city, county and state requirements.
