We have a great opportunity for a
Project Engineer
experienced in the water or wastewater field to join our growing business. As
Project Engineer , you will support Project Managers in the overall execution of a Capital Project and be responsible for the engineering support and deliverables required for a given project. These engineering deliverables include, but are not limited to, assembly & review of drawings, equipment data sheets, instrumentation lists, pump specifications, valve lists, and other related items. You may also work with vendors and subcontractors in the performance of the project.About the role:Support Project Managers with execution of Capital Projects within budget, schedule, and to customer’s satisfaction.Review and approve various drawings including P&ID, fabrication, single line, schematics, and other project-related drawings.Review Bill of Materials (BOM) for equipment/component design for compliance with engineering principles, contract requirements, and applicable standards.Perform pump design & selection, hydraulic calculations, valve selections, instrumentation selection, and other equipment selection that meet contractual requirements and applicable standards.Assemble, review, and/or approve specifications, data sheets, or other detailed information for specific components related to the project.Specify materials for purchasing including identifying vendors, initiating requests for quotation, making best price/best value purchasing determinations, specification compliance, and tracking delivery of material.Attend customer meetings/vendor meetings and offer meaningful input as it relates to the project.Assist in the gathering of costs for equipment, labor estimates, subcontractor estimates, and other costs in preparation of proposals and commercial quotes.Travel to site and/or vendor shops for equipment inspections and quality checks.About you:Minimum requirements for the position:Bachelor of Science in Engineering (ME, ChE) from an accredited, four-year university – ME preferred.Demonstrated project engineering experience in the water or wastewater field.Experience with AutoCAD and applications is a plus.Excellent customer service, communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Strong time management and organizational skills.Team-oriented and customer-focused.Organized and self-directed.Benefits:Health Care PlanRetirement PlanLife InsurancePaid Time Off
