Union Rescue Mission (URM) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. We are dedicated to serving men, women, and children experiencing homelessness and providing comprehensive emergency and long-term services to help them escape the dangerous streets of Skid Row. DATA INTEGRITY SPECIALIST POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Data Integrity Specialist (Temporary) to support our comprehensive Data Cleaning and Data Enrichment Initiative. This entry-level role will assist with ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and usability across various platforms. The Data Integrity Assistant will work closely with our Salesforce Manager, contractors, and other departments to support the cleaning, enrichment, and validation of large datasets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Assist with data cleaning activities, including identifying and rectifying inaccurate, incomplete, or inconsistent data across systems.
Collaborate with the team to remove duplicate records using advanced tools such as Plauti/DataGroomr and Salesforce deduplication tools.
Help standardize data formats (e.g., dates, numerical entries, text formats) to ensure data consistency.
Support the data enrichment process by appending missing data points using internal and external data sources.
Assist in setting up automated validation rules and support validation processes during various project phases.
Work closely with the Salesforce Manager on data segmentation, automation setup, and validation processes.
Perform quality checks and assist in generating reports to track data accuracy improvements.
Provide basic support for ongoing data management efforts, including merging data, applying updates, and assisting with the final reporting phase.
Conduct other tasks and projects as assigned by the Salesforce Manager.

Requirements
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND LICENSURES:
Basic understanding of data management principles.
Familiarity with Excel for managing large data sets, including formulas and data segmentation.
Willingness to learn and use tools such as Salesforce, Plauti/DataGroomr, and ZeroBounce.
Previous experience with data entry, cleaning, or enrichment is preferred but not required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good communication skills to collaborate with various team members and contractors.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Basic knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM tools is a plus.
Familiarity with data deduplication tools or processes is a bonus.
