ABOUT THE ROLE
: As an Interior Designer, your role will involve collaborating with the Assortment and Retail teams to offer expertise in interior design, merchandising, and spatial planning for our multiple stores. You will closely collaborate with our Environments, In-store, and Store Operations teams to curate store floor sets for existing and new stores, assist in planning and ordering new products, create installation packages, and draw floor set and merchandising directives.
RESPONSIBILITIES
:
Help to create floor sets and merchandising for stores
Work with our Regional Store managers and Retail Ops teams on our bi-annual store resets
Act as a line of communication between our Stores and Environments team
Ensure our Merchandising standards are met and correctly implemented
Work with our Environments team and Supply Chain team to help predict inventory and timing efforts on new products for stores
Create and maintain Blu Dot standards for all stores
Assist in new store planning and execution, on site during new store set-ups
Assist in special Branded Environments projects and events for Blu Dot
Travel to Blu Dot stores as required for new store set up and floor refresh assistance
IDEAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:
3-5 years experience in related field (Interior Design, Architecture, Visual Merchandising) preferred
Required ability to use drafting software; AutoCAD, SketchUp and/or Revit
Be highly proficient at completing projects independently, efficiently and on-time
Willingness to learn and design within the Blu Dot brand identity
Comprehensive knowledge and skills in Microsoft OS and Adobe CS
Strong organization skills, detail, and process oriented and amazing multi-tasking abilities
Team player who can lead when needed
Exceptional communication and troubleshooting skills
Ability to lift and move heavy furniture and accessories
Must be able to travel domestically and internationally
