Business Development Officer (BDO) for Asset Based Lending (ABL)
is responsible for initiating new business opportunities and expanding client relationships by developing key Centers of Influence (COIs), such as investment bankers, lawyers, and private equity sponsors. You will focus on generating and closing Asset Based Lending opportunities while working closely with internal partners to cross-sell bank products and services, including Commercial Deposits & Treasury Management, Capital Markets, and Private Banking.This person will also:Drive new business by developing relationships with COIs and highly motivated prospects, focusing on long-term, profitable opportunities.Ensure compliance with Associated Banc-Corp credit policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines for all prospects.Collaborate with internal partners to cross-sell a full range of bank products and services to both existing and prospective clients.Analyze financial information and coordinate due diligence, legal documentation, and the loan closing process.Maintain detailed records of sales activities and networking relationships in SalesForce.The expected travel for this role will be around 25% of the time, including overnight stays.Review the qualifications listed below:EducationBachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business, Finance, Accounting or other applicable disciplines.
RequiredExperience8-10 years Asset Based Lending or business-to-business sales and business development skills. Knowledge of non-borrowing products, past track record of sales and client management success.
