Reporting to the CMO, this leader will be responsible for Heroku's thought leadership messaging and content, editorial calendar, executive communications, and speaker bureau; pushing the narrative to gain mindshare for Heroku in various market categories, open source, and customer communities.Responsibilities:Messaging and narrative:

Develop thought provoking and insightful narratives and perspectives on trends and topics in our industry and technology space.Editorial:

Develop a thematic editorial calendar with thought leadership content to increase awareness of Heroku.Executive Comms:

Support Heroku executives in building their profiles across the industry through bold and authentic narratives for media placement, speaking opportunities and thought leadership engagement.Paid Media:

Develop strategic paid media strategy for sponsored articles, interviews, videos, and podcasts of key spokespeople.PR and AR:

Work closely with PR and AR teams to develop and execute strategies for earned media and coverage.Speaker Bureau:

Develop and run speaker bureau program within Heroku employees.Analytics:

Track and analyze performance and ROI of thought leadership programs.Requirements:10+ years of experience

in product or solutions marketing, communications, journalism, or as industry analyst.Experience with developer and IT Executive audiences

and knowledge of cloud native, open source, Kubernetes, and developer tool ecosystems.Strong storytelling skills:

Ability to strategize and craft compelling narratives.Experience in defining strategy

and coaching teams through execution.Excellent communication skills

and the ability to present to executive leaders, cross-functional partners, customers, and partners.Expertise in creating strong working relationships

with cross-functional teams and align with global stakeholders.Experience in building scalable programs

and demonstrate the ability to drive cross-functional alignment.Self starter

with a builder's mindset.
