Responsibilities
Proactively monitors current network operations and deploy changes in accordance with local policy.Performs network troubleshooting and manages a production environment efficiently using utilities.Supports remote access services, intranet services, internet access, and network communications infrastructure.Supports network operations so that any outage is identified, resolved, and immediately reported to the Government.Configures and operates a centrally managed network consisting of Government-furnished communication circuits, communication equipment, network software, and certain diagnostic equipment.Provides work status using the Government tracking systems and updates the ticketing.Assists the Government with the design, development, implementation, operation, and maintenance of network computing facilities consisting of virtual servers, dedicated long-haul circuits, routers, switches, proxies, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.Manages Software Defined Access, Digital Network Architecture, Identity Services Engine (ISE), TCP/IP, firewalls, routing, VLANs, and VRFs.Assists the Government in improving network configuration, capacity, performance, and management.
Qualifications
Active DoD issued Secret clearance.DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification and at least 1 current computing environment certification (e.g., A+, CCENT and/or CCNA certification is a minimum).Education requirements:1 plus years with Masters.3 plus years with Bachelors.5 plus years with Associates.7 plus years with no degree.Experience with enterprise network configuration, troubleshooting, monitoring, and support.Specific experience in TCP/IP, configuring routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and VLANs.This Hybrid position requires that you live within commuting distance from Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD.Desired Qualifications:Cisco equipment experience highly desirable.Experience with tools such as Cisco DNA Center, FMC, Orion SolarWinds, Forescout, Cisco ISE, Cisco Firewalls, BlueCat, StealthWatch highly desirable.Outstanding Customer Service and Communication skills.Ability to work in a team environment and independently.Ability to adhere to government policies and requirements.Ability to obtain/maintain Top Secret clearance may be required.Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
