Iowa Women's Health Center is seeking a FULL-TIME Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) , Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) or PHYSICIAN ASSISTANT (PA/PA-C)
This individual will see Women's Health and Gynecology patients and receive training in general GYN & Hormone Replacement Therapy to help us provide specialty care. The position will also include minor in-office procedures. The goals for the individual will be to provide initial evaluations on non-surgical patients and provide follow-up and postoperative care in conjunction with our board-certified physician.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Perform medical examinations and evaluations, diagnose, provide treatment, follow-up, and patient education.Obtain patient histories, develop, and complete patient assessment and documentation with completeness and accuracy.Provide health education to patients and families and communicate with community health practitioners and referring physicians.Practice safety, environmental, and/ or infection control methods.Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTSARNP, PA-C or DNP through the State of Iowa Certified Nurse Practitioner, Certified Physician Assistant or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)Prefer six months to one year of experience directly related to the abovementioned duties and responsibilities.Able to work 37-40 hours per week.Must be patient-focused, dependable, goal-oriented, and driven to succeed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIREDKnowledge of electronic medical record patient care charts and patient histories.Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of patients.Knowledge of related accreditation and certification requirements.Knowledge of clinical operations and proceduresKnowledge of current principles, methods, and procedures for the delivery of medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment in area of expertise.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:Must be credentialed per Iowa Women's Health Center policies and procedures if billing for services under Medicare/Medicaid.CPR Certified or must obtain within six months of employment.
