United’s CDR team is tasked with keeping our customers’ and employees’ information safe and secure. Our primary mission is to embed cybersecurity into the DNA of United Airlines by reducing business risk through implementation of strong cybersecurity best practices.Key Responsibilities:The Data Protection & Privacy Analyst is responsible for supporting the implementation of Data Protection & Privacy programs. The analyst provides ongoing support of these programs by ensuring business strategies, plans, and initiatives are executed/delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.Assist team with the implementation of the Data Protection & Privacy strategy & programs.Understand and provide daily support in the activities related to the implementation of end-to-end capabilities such as Data Governance, Data Protection, Data Privacy, Data Rights Management, Data Encryption & Tokenization, Data Classification, and Data Security in the cloud.Collaborate with internal partners to evaluate potential compliance areas and document gaps to ensure full compliance with data protection & privacy regulations.Interpret relevant laws, regulations, policies, and related guidance to enhance processes, policies, standards, or programs, in support of cybersecurity responsibilities.What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):Bachelor's degree required in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science.3+ years in a STEM-related field.Understanding of Data Protection and Privacy standards and regulations local, domestic, and global.Skill in communicating with all levels of management (e.g., interpersonal skills, approachability, effective listening skills, proper use of style and language for the audience).Ability to perform in a dynamic environment to deadlines, with the ability to address multiple activities concurrently.Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification.Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position.What will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):CISA.Security +.Knowledge of computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security.Knowledge of security engineering and architecture concepts.Knowledge of cryptography and cryptographic key management concepts.Interpret patterns of noncompliance to resolve their impact on levels of risk and/or overall effectiveness of the enterprise’s cybersecurity program.Hands-on experience with Data Protection & Privacy vendors, tools, and products capabilities.United Airlines is an equal opportunity employer.
