This position provides planning and design support as part of a project team for water, wastewater, and recycled water projects, predominantly focused on infrastructure-related planning and design. The ideal candidate would be an EIT or professional engineer with 3+ years of experience in water infrastructure-related civil engineering. This position will be based out of our Liberty Station or Encinitas locations.Water resources professionals at Dudek work on innovative and relevant projects, frequently in a cross-discipline environment. There is no single way to solve a problem, so we encourage innovation.Duties and Responsibilities (may include some or all of the below):Performing hydraulic modeling and capacity analyses of pressure (water/recycled water) and open channel flow (sewer) systems, predominantly using Innovyze (AutoDesk) and Aquanuity software packages.Supporting the planning and analysis of water, wastewater, and/or recycled water processes and facilities, including master plans, hydraulic modeling studies, capacity analysis, alternatives analysis, condition assessment, cost estimates, risk evaluation, operations and maintenance assessments, and other planning studies.Capability to work in the field, including inspections and field measurements, as necessary.Potential for limited travel within San Diego, Orange County, Riverside, San Bernardino, Los Angeles, Ventura, Imperial, and Santa Barbara counties.Technical document and graphics preparation.Minimum RequirementsBachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a similar discipline.3+ years of engineering experience in planning and design of water/wastewater-related projects.EIT or Professional Civil Engineer licensed in the State of California.Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), with excellent writing, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.Experience with design software including ESRI ArcGIS/ArcGIS Pro and AutoCAD.Experience with, or willingness to learn, hydraulic modeling software programs (predominantly Aquanuity AquaTwin Sewer, Innovyze InfoWater, InfoSewer, InfoSWMM, etc.).Must possess a valid driver's license and have active personal automobile liability insurance by the first day of employment.* As a federal contractor, successful candidates are required to pass the following pre-employment requirements prior to beginning employment: pre-employment drug test and background check.Physical RequirementsWorking Conditions:This job operates in a remote or office-based environment and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, etc.This job requires occasional project site visits-based outdoors which can include excessive noise, uneven walking surfaces, extreme weather, moving vehicles, and equipment.Physical Requirements:
