Moffatt & Nichol is actively looking for a Structural Designer to join our Savannah, GA team. The firm provides clients worldwide with customized service and a level of excellence that have become the firm's hallmark in several primary practice areas - ports and harbors; coastal, environmental and water resources; urban waterfronts and marinas; transportation, bridges and rail; inspection and rehabilitation; and energy.Duties and responsibilities:Prepare accurate drawings for schematic design and design development using company standards.Develop 3D models of structures, prepare construction drawings, and quantity take-offs.Coordinate development of models between disciplines including but not limited to structural, MEP, and architectural.Manage production of engineering drawing packages ensuring a high-quality product.Collaborate with consultants and other company offices to ensure efficient data sharing.Assist in providing training and mentoring to associates as requested.Work flexible hours (across multiple time zones) when required.Perform site visits as needed.Qualifications:Associates degree.10 - 20 years of experience in structural design and drafting in the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry.Experience with waterfront structural design strongly preferred.Understanding and application of CAD/BIM standards.AutoCAD design experience a must; Revit design experience preferred.Good understanding of project workflows.Good numeracy, geometry, and computer skills.Excellent written and verbal communications.Good organization and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.Proven ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.Ability to work as part of a team.All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171.Working conditions:The work takes place mostly in an office environment. Must be able to work flexible hours (across multiple time zones) and to travel as and when required.Physical requirements:Majority of work is office based.
