Exclaimer is looking for a highly motivated Information Security Manager to join our growing team. Reporting to the
title tbc , you will play a critical role in managing day-to-day compliance and security tasks, supporting our global business operations. Additionally, you will act as the key point of contact for IT queries from our Boston office, ensuring seamless coordination between information security and IT operations. Key Responsibilities Information Security & Compliance : Manage daily security and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, and other relevant standards.
Oversee security policies, procedures, and risk management practices.
Support internal and external audits and ensure all regulatory requirements are met.
Monitor and respond to security incidents and support incident response efforts.
Boston IT Point of Contact : Serve as the primary IT point of contact for Boston-based staff, coordinating with the global IT team for support and troubleshooting.
Assist with local IT queries, including hardware, software, and access requests.
Sales Team Support : Participate in sales calls to provide security expertise and respond to customer security queries.
Assist with completing customer security questionnaires and RFPs to support the sales process.
Vulnerability Management : Help manage vulnerability assessments and remediation efforts, ensuring risks are identified and addressed promptly.
Work with the global IT and security teams to maintain a secure environment.
Cross-Department Collaboration & Visibility : Ensure the IT and security teams are present, visible, and actively engaging with every department across the business.
Proactively identify issues and areas for improvement before they escalate into problems by maintaining open lines of communication with all teams, including HR, Product, Sales, Legal, and Operations.
Collaborate with the HR team during onboarding to ensure security requirements are met for new hires.
Partner with the product team to integrate security into product development.
Incident Management : Lead the response to security breaches or critical IT incidents, coordinating with global teams to ensure timely communication and resolution.
Serve as the point of contact for critical IT or security incidents in Boston, ensuring issues are handled swiftly and effectively.
Skills Knowledge and Expertise 5+ years of experience in information security, with a solid understanding of IT operations.
Strong understanding of information security and compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR).
Experience supporting compliance efforts.
Experience managing security audits and working with internal/external auditors.
Ability to respond to and manage security incidents.
Hands-on experience with IT support, troubleshooting, and hardware/software management.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical security issues for non-technical audiences.
Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or similar are preferred.
