Your Role and ResponsibilitiesThis is for a 2025 summer internship with the following start dates: May - August or June - September for quarter system schools. As an Open Source Software Developer Intern at IBM Research, you will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption of open source AI technologies. Your responsibilities will span various aspects of software development, including design and implementation, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into real-world products and systems. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting research initiatives to make AI accessible for developers through the adoption of open and transparent foundation models. You will be part of team of developers, designers, and researchers working together to push the boundaries of AI innovation.

Required Technical and Professional ExpertiseCandidate should be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree.Student enrolled in a Bachelor’s level degree programStrong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, C/C++Curiosity for exploring new technologies and contributing to open-source projects
