Improve the software developer experience! Remove barriers to innovation and effectiveness, enabling software engineers easy access to the tools they need to make the most mission impact.Detail oriented and team driven software engineers will provide full lifecycle support, to include modernization, of repositories and tools that are used across a variety of networks. We are seeking a highly motivated software engineer that has a heavy DevSecOps background and is well-versed in products that are available within the open-source community. Hybrid Remote Schedule: Two days of working from home
and three days working on site on average per week to solve a variety of challenging engineering problemsArchitecting, developing, and maintaining secure software and repository solutionsWorking directly with customers, managers and technical staff to understand business needs, develop technical plans, and deliver solutions that solve mission problemsApplying your expertise to code, plan, test, and deploy software and repository solutions across network domainsConnecting various elements of coding along with libraries and applications for software releases with various operating systems and production infrastructuresCoordinating across multi-functional teams to formulate, prototype, implement, and fine tune solutionsProviding multiple tier levels of support to customers, software development teams, and network engineersEstablishing strong, collaborative working relationships with Government customers, technical staff, and peersSharing software engineering best practices and principlesWhat we are expecting from you:
Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other technical disciplineTS/SCI Polygraph clearanceDemonstrated success troubleshooting and solving complex problemsExperience developing and maintaining software solutions using a variety of languagesAbility to perform scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, Ruby) on Linux platformExperience with relational and non-relational databasesUser documentation and support experienceSoftware product testing experienceUnderstanding of binary software repositories such as Nexus, ArtifactoryExperience working with, deploying, and managing Linux-based OS systemsNice to have:
Experience with provisioning, virtualization and containerization orchestration, Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD) toolsProactive technical customer service experienceExperience optimizing solutions across network domainsExperience with AWSStrong monitoring/metrics skillsUnderstanding of software and infrastructure engineering best practicesContributions back into open-source communityUnderstanding of open-source libraries and toolsContainer (Docker) and Container Orchestration understandingAbout us:
