We are looking for applicants whose work focuses on philosophical issues raised by AI or related technologies. The successful applicant will be expected to develop and teach courses on the philosophy of computing and the ethics of computing and AI. In addition, we are looking for someone capable of building interdisciplinary connections between the philosophy department and those departments concerned with computational science. The teaching load is two courses per semester and faculty are expected to be research active and to provide service to the department and university. Final authorization of the position is subject to availability of funding.Qualifications:PhD expected prior to start date, evidence of teaching effectiveness and research accomplishment in the area of focus.Salary is competitive.
