The HVAC Field Commissioning Lead is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of HVAC commissioning and service activities at customer data center sites. This role coordinates all onsite HVAC commissioning/service activities at customer data center sites, ensuring team alignment, adherence to safety protocols, and effective project progression. They will lead and manage a team of Field Technicians and Engineers, coordinate meetings, and serve as a central point of contact for technical coordination while ensuring that all tasks meet project standards.Key Responsibilities
Oversee and coordinate daily commissioning/service tasks ensuring alignment with project objectives.Own and enforce all onsite safety protocols, conducting safety checks and training as needed.Manage and allocate tasks to Field Technicians, ensuring efficient use of resources and time.Coordinate and schedule team meetings to discuss project progress, troubleshooting needs, and safety updates.Serve as the field onsite point of contact for technical questions and issues, escalating to the Field Commissioning/Service Manager when necessary.Required Education & Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in HVAC systems preferred OR Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.5+ years of experience in HVAC installation, commissioning, or service ideally in a data center or complex facility.Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a field environment.Strong understanding of HVAC systems, preferably in a data center environment.Proven leadership abilities, with experience managing or mentoring teams in a field setting.Strong communication skills for coordinating work and resolving issues.Modine is an equal opportunity employer.
