Data Acquisition Engineer (Night Shift)

Our three divisions, Engineering and Test, Technical Services, and Mission Systems make DTB a diverse and interesting place to work.

Work week scheduled hours are from 4:00 PM - 12:00 AM ET. New hires will receive on-the-job training during first shift hours from 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM ET before starting on the second shift.

In addition, the ideal candidate will be entitled to a night shift differential.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Organize/provide data acquisition and instrumentation training/support to new/junior employeesRegularly reports project status to assigned Project Manager (PM)Organize and maintain the sensor inventory/database and new equipment procurementOrganize and maintain the load/motion control and data acquisition controllersManage projects to complete tasks within budget and on scheduleEnsure ISO 9000 standards and policies are adhered toStay current on the latest technologies as it relates to electrical metering and data acquisition productsReview and recommend changes to all systems, policies, and procedures as needed to enhance the mission of the organizationConfigure and conduct testing with MTS load control and data acquisition hardware and software for structural test programs (training in this area can be accommodated during on-boarding)

Required Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or comparable*US Citizenship is required for this role*2+ years of experience in research & development or test & evaluation environmentProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and AccessMore specifically, experience developing mathematical formulas such as IF-THEN statements and organizing/cleaning data through conditional formattingHands-on experience using tools for mechanical, electrical, and/or hydraulic repairsKnowledge of technical concepts relating to instrumentation, data acquisition, signal conditioning & sensorsElectrical/software troubleshooting skills

Preferred Qualifications:Prior experience developing load control and data acquisition hardware/software for endurance simulation, or static/dynamic load applicationThe ideal candidate can demonstrate proficiency in one or all the following:MTS load control and data acquisition hardware and softwareLabViewDeveloping, testing, and debugging software programs using LabView (should be up to date with the latest version of LabView)Macros, recipes, and scripts for use with LabView in performing automatic test functionsInstrument communication protocols like RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, GPIB, USB, etc.
