This role is chartered with building a competitive advantage through the modernization and digitalization of Zurn Elkay.The Director of Business Intelligence leads & manages a team of resources and oversees all activities in relation to the ingestion and visualization of operational data in alignment with the business's strategy, vision, and objectives. Aligns and directs the management, development, and integration of operational data for business intelligence necessary for supporting the mission, vision strategies, objectives, and goals of the business. The role will influence senior business leaders and provides thought leadership, acting as a subject matter expert in the designing and recommending of appropriate analytical approaches and methodology in addressing key issues within the business. This role involves leading a team of analysts and developers to deliver actionable insights that drive business decisions. They are responsible for managing, centralizing, organizing, categorizing, localizing, synchronizing and enriching critical data used to drive business decisions.Key AccountabilitiesWork closely with senior leaders of the business, outside partners/consultants, and suppliers in order to implement the right solutions to address complex business opportunities and problems.50% time allocation to business relationship management (50% with IT) and coordination to drive recognized standards and enablers in addition to road mapping.Work closely with senior leaders in the department to ensure alignment to future strategies and visions within the IT department and the business.Manage intake of business requirements to set and prioritize roadmap and continuous improvement based on business value.Lead a team responsible to design and develop conceptual, logical and physical data models to meet business strategies and requirements.Direct responsibility for staff performance appraisal and development.Monitor production support operations across business functions including issue resolution, environment stability, and implement improvements as needed.Evaluate, adapt, select, and learn new BI technologies and platforms with vendor input and utilize the same to address business requirement in a fast-paced environment.Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance BI capabilities.Mine large volumes of data and draw insightful conclusions from information that ultimately supports organizational strategy and decision-making; identify trends in the business and unearth the "why" behind them using data.Implement analytical solutions for Enterprise Business systems (Microsoft D365, Oracle EBS, JD Edwards, Epicor, and other non-ERP apps).Oversee data governance policies to ensure data quality, accuracy, and security.Oversee development of timely projects, dashboards and reports that provide actionable and user-friendly insights.Qualifications/RequirementsStrong business acumen with robust knowledge of manufacturing environment.Experience with business SME leadership and coordination, creating recognized standards and enablers.8+ years of proven experience managing or supervising technology teams.10+ years of experience in field, Bachelor of Science degree in a technical field is preferred.10+ years hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of analytical reporting, data warehouse solutions, and data integration tools.Vendor and contract negotiation experience.Experience with data cataloging solutions a plus.Big data experience, managed through solutions like AZURE/AWS and/or Snowflake preferred.Data visualization and insights through Tableau experience required.Hands-on technical experience in the following areas or similar technologies: ERP databases (10g or greater), Snowflake database, SQL (must have), prior experience of BI solutions with any CRM systems or ERP systems (e.g. Microsoft D365, Oracle EBS, JD Edwards).Comprehensive understanding of data management, reporting, and industry IoT best practices and the ability to be a leader in their implementation.Ability to solve problems quickly and automate processes.Independent problem-solving skills, self-direction, and can manage others.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to document and present data models, strategies, standards, and concepts to both business and IT audiences.Travel as needed to Zurn Elkay facilities.Capabilities and Success FactorsCourage - Stepping up to address difficult issues, saying what needs to be said.Cultivates innovation - Creating new and better ways for the organization to be successful.Drives Results - Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances.Drives Vision & Purpose - Painting a compelling picture of the vision and strategy that motivates others to action.Manages Complexity - Making sense of complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.Decision Quality - Making good and timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.Total Rewards and BenefitsCompetitive SalaryMedical, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, AD&D, and Life InsuranceMatching 401(k) ContributionHealth Savings AccountUp to 3 Weeks Vacation12 Paid HolidaysAnnual Bonus EligibilityEducational ReimbursementMatching Gift ProgramEqual Opportunity Employer
