As the Director, DEI, you will provide both strategic leadership and administrative oversight for researching, developing, and maintaining a range of successful practices supporting a Zelis culture that values and prioritizes equity, diversity and inclusiveness. Working with Executive Leadership, People & Culture (P&C), Champions Allies, and all Associates, you will create and deliver DE&I strategies in alignment with Zelis values, business and talent goals, and to advance the One Zelis work culture and experience.And, this is how you will do it:Enhance the DE&I strategic roadmap, with clear milestones and KPIs in partnership with the Zelis Diversity Council, Business Resources Groups (BRGs) and P&C leaders and in alignment with the Talent Management strategyBuild on our culture of equity and inclusion by systematizing DE&I practices across all talent practices. Partnering across P&C and the business to ensure inclusive recruitment, selection, onboarding, development, and management practices that achieve desired diversity of our candidate pools, workforce, and leadership succession pipelines for key roles; and compliance to federal lawsCreate strategy and deliver approaches to ensure that all Associates are effective leaders, advisors, colleagues, and role models for fair and equitable treatment of othersConsult to and guide Zelis BRGs to support high visions, engagement, learning opportunities and best practice sharing across this committed group of AssociatesDrive initiatives that celebrate diverse perspectives and create a sense of inclusion & belonging for all associates.Partner with Marketing to ensure integration of DE&I strategy, initiatives and expectations across the organization in all internal and external communications materialsWork in partnership with learning SMEs, create DE&IB educational programs for employees that build capabilities on topics such as cultural awareness and sensitivity, conflict resolution, and manager/leadership development and other programs that promote awareness of discrimination issues, and foster open and inclusive environment, encouraging individuals to take responsibility for their actionsRegularly analyze data to identify potential patterns of activity and report on effectiveness of diversity programs and initiativesEvaluate existing policies (P&C and other) and have a clear understanding of how they support or unintentionally hinder DE&I efforts; make improvements as requiredKeep current on DEI best practices and policy by developing and maintaining strong networks with others in the fieldBe a vocal participant to drive external thought leadership in Technology spaceManage external vendor relationships and budgetTo succeed, you must be able to:Utilize complex problem-solving skills to translate data and business needs into organizational solutions that enhance the associate experience and Zelis Value PropositionEngage and lead cross-functional teams/individuals to drive change and impact, as required, operating with simplicity, clarity, and transparencyManage multiple projects and keep deliverables on track to meet strategic goals of the organizationDevelop mutually beneficial relationships inside and outside of ZelisBe a thought leader and champion for DE&I efforts externallyUnderstand the power of story and use data based decision makingServe as a key thought leader on the Talent Management leadership team, and mentor across P&CRequired Education, Skills & Experience:Bachelor's degree or minimum of 10 years in HR or a related field; Masters in HR preferredAt least 5 years in DEI&B specific responsibilitiesProven track record of success working on diversity, equity and inclusion strategic efforts that are rooted in data and researchAdept at enrolling others in a vision and engaging stakeholders at all levelsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify potential issues and discrepancies and offer recommended resolutionsExperience successfully engaging small and large groups in immersive experiencesAbility to influence others and move toward a common visionMust have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication and presentation skillsFlexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situationsAbility to work with minimal supervision or formal structureExperience with managing data in MS Excel functionsAcute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challengesFamiliarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of the project lifecyclePrevious experience with Workday a plus
