positions available to help support our key growth.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in laying the foundations for Aqua's Engineering team in Texas. The scope of the projects will range from small pump replacements up to multiple million-dollar water/wastewater treatment plant upgrades and everything in between.What you will do:Prepare and/or assist in the preparation of studies and reports to guide company management in planning for future systems needs and improvements. Activities include developing cost estimates for capital budget planning and projects including modeling alternative evaluations, e.g. estimates costs, schedules, community impact and risks across projects in various municipalities throughout the service area.Drive and coordinate the long-term capital plan for the assigned division/system. Coordinate monthly capital meetings with operational personnel, tracking capital and reporting to senior management on capital.Model and review all waterline and sewer projects. Design assigned aspects of projects i.e. tanks, boosters, lift stations, WTP projects, WWTP projects, regulating vaults, etc.) as needed.Use the company applications such as Powerplant and SAP to create and manage capital projects. Update, maintain, and research information in a variety of company databases including the financial information system and capital budget system for project authorization and tracking. Ensure new equipment is logged into the appropriate maintenance system.
What you will bring:Ability to ensure timely delivery of projects through creative problem solving and effective use of capital.2-3 years of design experience, preferably in the water/wastewater utility industry preferred.Must be a Registered, EIT in the State of Texas or have the ability to obtain EIT license within one year from hire dateBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental EngineeringMust have the ability to represent the Company in an accurate, positive, and professional manner to the general public, developers and Municipal Officers.
