Additional Information:

Must obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Airport Identification/Access Badge (badge) in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements in Chapter 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 1500 et al., and DFW Airport's Airport Security Program within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for a SIDA badge upon each badge renewal.
Must be fingerprinted and pass a national fingerprint-based background check to access Criminal Justice Information within thirty (30) days from date of employment.
Must take Cyber awareness training within thirty (30) days from date of employment.
Leadership Experience:
Prior experience leading a team or managing complex security projects.
Industry Experience:
Experience in highly regulated industries like finance, healthcare, or government.
Scope :The Senior IT Disaster Recovery Analyst will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and maintaining disaster recovery strategies, policies, and procedures to safeguard the DFW Board's critical systems and data. This position requires strong Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity experience, strong technical expertise, proactive problem-solving skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to ensure our systems and data are resilient to potential disasters.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and maintain disaster recovery plans, runbooks, and strategies.
Conduct regular risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats to critical systems and data.
Develop and maintain documentation related to disaster recovery plans, procedures, and policies.
Develop disaster recovery test plans and facilitate disaster recovery tests and simulations to validate the effectiveness of the disaster recovery plans and runbooks.
Work closely with ITS teams to ensure systems and applications are designed with disaster recovery in mind.
Respond to and troubleshoot disaster recovery incidents in a timely and efficient manner.
Implement and enforce security best practices to protect backup and recovery assets.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to disaster recovery.
Implement and update disaster recovery software with information and status related to applications, hardware, and disaster recovery plans, runbooks, and tests.
Participate and facilitate, as needed, business impact analysis meetings with departmental teams to assess downtime impacts, workarounds, and recovery objectives for applications and other dependencies.
Develop and update reports, dashboards, and other metrics to communicate the status of disaster recovery activity and overall program health to ITS leadership.
Other related duties as assigned.
Mandatory Skills:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in disaster recovery planning, implementation, testing, and administration.
Proficient in conducting comprehensive risk assessments and delivering effective mitigation strategies to ensure the safety and security of systems and operations.
Proficiency in disaster recovery best practices and industry standards such as NIST SP 800-34 and ISO 27001-13.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficiency in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) and Continuity of Operations (COOP) concepts.
In-depth understanding of Disaster Recovery principles and best practices.
Extensive knowledge of disaster recovery best practices and industry standards such as ISO 27001-13, NIST SP 800-34, or GDPR.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
Proficient in risk management and mitigation strategies.
Adaptability to new technologies and changing security landscapes.
Collaborative working with teams and cross-functional departments.
Commitment to continuous learning in disaster recovery concepts.
Detail-oriented approach, especially in constructing disaster recovery plans and after-action reports.
Desirable Skills:
At least ten plus (10+) years of proven experience in disaster recovery planning, implementation, and administration.
Advanced Degrees: Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
Industry Certifications: Must have at least two advanced certifications such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP), Certified Disaster Recovery Engineer, Certified Cyber Resilience Professional (CCRP), Certified Business Resilience Manager (CBRM), Certified Business Resilience IT Professional (CBRITP), Certified Business Resilience Auditor (CBRA).
