About the Role

As the Manager of Platform and Infrastructure in APAC, you will be an engineering leader who hires and leads multiple sub-teams responsible for key parts of the Platform and Infrastructure roadmap. As an early member of the PI APAC organization, you will be responsible for hiring and leading multiple subteams in the SRE and Data Platform space.Own the execution success of the quarterly roadmap for multiple key parts of the SRE and Data Platform roadmap; engage continuously with the Tech Leads to help adjust and prioritize current roadmap items according to the team’s charter and company priorities.Deliver On:

ObservabilityAutomating the creation of non-production environments (test and staging).Data Retention, Compliance and movement.

Drive processes to enable the team to deliver on projects that are set by TLs as part of the technical roadmap.Manage the quarterly roadmap updates, project time estimates, weekly sprint planning, and day-to-day standups.Identify risks on project delivery (technical, operational, dependency risks) and escalate to appropriate technical leads.Able to assess progress in a metrics-oriented manner.Provide continuous feedback.Hire, mentor, and grow engineers on the team.You will build on the existing capabilities of the team through significant hiring. Provide consistent coaching at regular intervals to help them successfully execute high impact projects.Must Haves

11 to 14 years of professional experience as a hands-on engineer building backend systems and/or platforms.3+ years of managing backend or platform teams.(Nice-to-have) Building out and operating site reliability engineering teams to enable engineers to observe, test and deploy their applications at scale.Customer obsessed: Working with our internal engineers to determine the SRE roadmap.Meeting with customers to understand their needs and explain our engineering roadmap.Recruiting magnet - you are able to set up a hiring plan, attract senior engineers, outline the vision of the team and build out a large team.High standards - sets high standards and expectations for project execution for themselves and the whole team.
